I'm wondering how people are trying to make screws. Last year my school just tape a bunch of parts together

Well, other than BUYING screws, you could be a bit more creative, and do something that makes sense. Last year, my team attempted to harness centripetal force and have a long threaded bolt stick straight up, with an also threaded attachment with a rod that shoots off. If you throw some WD-40 on that sucker and add some weight to the end, you have a screw that spins around. Hope this helps. PM me for further questions on this
