Beckendorff is really good, but my teammates hate them like the black death  .
My school is in the same district as Beckendorff, so I see a lot of them at competitions. In fact, just today, I was talking to a girl who is in Beckendorff scioly (we go to the same summer camp). A lot of people hate Beckendorff for beating everyone at competitions, but I think we should actually LEARN from them instead of complaining about how good they are. Plus, the kids in Beckendorff scioly are pretty nice.
^^^full agreement. This is probably part of the reason why a lot of the nationally competitive teams keep in contact with each other (especially in Div C).

297. Play wall ball at a tournament using your racquetball from Mission Possible, and, on top of that, throw the ball into an elevator and station people near the elevators and the stairs to throw it back down (actually did this at an invitational).

298. Wear shorts into Experimental Design (my partner did this at regionals and caused us to get 4th, we were about to be disqualified).

Well, they're supposed to give you the rubric anyway...
Not the one with each specific thing you need. They give you a very generalized one, so you memorize the rubric.
Unrelated, I'm sorry. But hold up--THEY GIVE YOU RUBRICS AT COMPETITIONS, even if they're generalized? What has CA been missing out on :?

I've heard it varies based on the competition, but I'm not all that familiar with Exp Design (I did it once in 7th grade and sort of failed at it).

I didn't do Exp Design last year, but my friend from Beckendorff said that it's really easy, because you get the same questions every time, just a different prompt. I'm considering doing it next year.

In OH I've always had a generalized rubric, except for at states.
