Okay, Sassy is definitely a girl. The line "I myself am uproar" doesn't seem to make sense, so I think uproar might be some sort of cipher.

I put the word "uproar" in a Caesarian Shift cipher encoder, but nothing came out of it that made sense. Maybe someone else could try and see something that I didn't.
