Ligeti can refer to a few people, but the most famous is a Hungarian composer of contemporary classical. Carp could refer to Magikarp or possibly invasive species? I do recall that I have mentioned Ligeti on occasion on IRC...Assassinator wrote:As I was arriving at my destination, I found dragon_fruit35 with my victim on a picnic. I can neither confirm nor deny that you have correctly protected Fibonacci924.
On the other hand, I left you this as well. Carp is delicious, although Ligeti might disagree.

Yay! I didn't die! However there might be an ID clue and a kill clue.

Karp is my IRC name or just a nickname for me; however the spelling of 'Carp' refers to the animal, so I'd say protect me and someone who does Invasives.Person wrote:Ligeti can refer to a few people, but the most famous is a Hungarian composer of contemporary classical. EDIT: Also Bear eats me on IRC so that could fit into 'delicious.'

It may have been a coincidence, but the sassy utilizes what is known as the Glomar Response in this quote.
EDIT: Sassy, did we get both an ID clue and a kill clue, or did we get just the ID clue?

If so, what's the kill clue and what's the ID clue.I can accuse now if we find a worthwhile suspect.Entomology wrote:oh dear...Assassinator wrote: I can neither confirm nor deny that you have correctly protected Fibonacci924.

EDIT: Maybe the carp part refers to Karp being the target, but also relates to the sassy somehow.

...is the ID clue. I feel like the answer is on the tip of my tongue, but I can't figure out what it is.Assassinator wrote: but you all would probably think about someone else.

As for the target: is the answer Karp, or the person who eats Carp?

Assassinator is probably someone who's on the forums often... he responded really quickly (well, within an hour)

Re: SciOly Assassination 108: At the World's Fair
The Glomar response, what sassy utilized, was named after the Glomar challenger, which was a deep sea research and scientific drilling vessel for oceanography and marine geology studies (it extracted rocks and minerals). Someone, protect azuritemalachite.
Even though sassy didn't tell us which was the ID and which was the kill clue, azurite is on vacay, so there is no way she could be sassy.

Re: SciOly Assassination 108: At the World's Fair
I know what you mean, I feel like this Assassinator has a verrrrrry familiar writing style. I feel like it might be Jaol, Person, or someone who has otherwise participated in the past. I'm also somewhat suspicious of Karp. I feel like this person is relatively new to the boards or doesn't have a lot of posts because so far they have only targeted people that post in Assassinations.Panda Weasley wrote:I think that...dragon_fruit35 wrote:If so, what's the kill clue and what's the ID clue.I can accuse now if we find a worthwhile suspect.Entomology wrote:

I can confirm that Azurite is NOT the sassy.
