Looking from the perspective of a gun, could it be like a safety or silencer or something?

There's a line from Life of Pi that says: Nil magnum nisi bonum. No greatness without goodness.

Could that be anything?

I love how everyone is giving their accusations if right to other people. This seems like it's going to be a very friendly game (at least on this side). I didn't have time to work on this yesterday, but I'll look into the guns perspective when I can. I think I'll have time 2nd period.

Update:
I looked more into guns but nothing stood out to me. Of course I don't really know anything about guns so I might have missed something. I did look into sushi's suggestion of 'Nil magnum nisi bonum'. This saying isn't mentioned at all on the forums (besides Sushi's post) or wiki. There are three schools with this motto according to Wikipedia, but none of them are in the US. In French magnum refers to a 1.5 liter bottle of wine. I don't think that helps us either. I'll keep looking.

Just looking at the people with names "good" or "great", I found:

Goodcheer - hasn't been active for a month
Goodmnea000 - 0 posts
Goody2shoes - 3 posts, 7 years ago

Yeah. And there's no one with the name Latin (I'm pretty sure that's Latin), though I do recall someone went to a school where everyone has to learn Latin, but that seems like a big stretch.

Also, back to that drama, it would make sense "Without [Thomas Magnum], Magnum is no use", except:

Thomas - 0 posts
Thomas560 - 0 posts
Thomaswillson - 0 posts

The "M" in Magnum is capitalized, which means that it should be a proper noun, and thus the name of a show, business, etc. Unfortunately, people on the internet tend to have poor grammar, so who knows? But this Assassinator's grammar has been pretty good so far.

EDIT: I was thinking of magnum as in the bone, and bones need calcium and vitamins, and there's a guy named Vitamintk, except he (?) hasn't posted in two years.

Good thinking! I have had some experience with the language and, if it isn't uncalled for, I can affirm your belief that that is indeed Latin. :D

I'm so exited! I know it's too late to be an officer but I would love to participate, I'm sorta new and still figuring out how to do stuff on this site. Also: Huge Harry Potter fan! :D

I believe you are talking about Gryphaea(somenumbers). O Magnum Mysterium is a kind of chant/song that is in Latin as well. It's about religion and stuff, but it's Latin and Harry Potter is well known for being associated with Latin.

I can confirm this as well (as I'm talking Latin this year). I think it is a good idea for all officers to protect, but I'm a bit busy currently and I don't have a definite conclusion quite yet. Also, welcome gardenGnostic! :)
