it was cross-sectional I was thinking of
I'm not sure if that's cross-sectional. Cross-sectional studies are purely descriptive studies where a population (or a sample that is representative of the population) is surveyed for any exposures and diseases (or more realistically, a list of exposures and diseases of interest). I thought the study was case-control, because the disease status for one particular disease, the disease of the outbreak, is taken, and the entire potentially exposed/affected population is surveyed for potential exposures. While case-control studies are analytical studies, they involve a particular type of data collection, which you outlined in your problem.ampy1234567 wrote:I guess that works because I wasn't being specific enoughit was cross-sectional I was thinking of

What is primordial prevention and give an example of a scenario where it could be used

Primordial prevention is preventing a disease by addressing its risk factors. The first example that comes to mind is the anti-smoking campaign in my state to lower lung cancer rates, along with numerous other diseases.
