Indeed. Really salty about EV and WIDI, though I'm a writer.Unome wrote:Yeah, if I remember correctly, Brookwood and Auburn both NSed four builds.rfscoach wrote:Building events never count at Brookwood. That explains Auburn's good finish as not bringing building events finally does not count against them.

Usually I average 2 hours on school days and 5 hours on other days, although it varies greatly depending on what's happening on that particular day.blueice wrote:Unome how much do you study every day/week?

I wish, but MIT is the same day. I notice from the team list on the tournament website that the major teams going are Dodgen (sciolylover13 wrote:Anyone going to Dodgen?

Edit: Is J.F. Drake going? The team list shows "DMS-Independent" and Drake is the closest match I can find.

Re: Georgia 2016
Yup. There will be kids from both schools on both teams, so there is not really a set name for each team. Most likely we will just be Auburn A and Auburn B, since people seem to think we're just one school anyway.Unome wrote:I wish, but MIT is the same day. Does anyone know how many teams will be at Dodgen?
Good luck at MIT!!

465-47 teams (can't remember exactly). Is it legal to mix schools like that?sciolylover13 wrote:Yup. Re: Georgia 2016
I'm pretty sure it is, because we've been doing it for a long time. We only do it with 9th graders, and are careful to have only 5 on a team. We've even done it once or twice at nationals (had 5 9th graders on the Drake nationals team).
From soinc.org: In the case of 9th graders, public school students may compete on the team from the middle school that they most recently attended.

Up to 5 Auburn junior high 8th and 9th graders can legally compete for Drake on any one team. No Drake 6th and 7th graders can compete on an official Auburn Junior High team. And nothing is official until Regionals....

Yup. Exactly. But they have to have attended Drake. I just realized I said we only do it with 9th graders, I meant 8th AND 9th graders.rfscoach wrote:Up to 5 Auburn junior high 8th and 9th graders can legally compete for Drake on any one team.
