Incidence is the measure of the rate of new cases occuring in a specified population, while prevalence is the proportion of cases currently present in a specified population

Incidence is # of new cases/time observed/period
Prevalence is # of cases present during a time period/population

1. Name the three major types of plagues.
2. Name the main animal that is a vector for the Nipah virus.
