Yes, rule 4.d. states each Simple Machine type can only count for points up to three times, and 4.d.i. states each class of lever can only count for points once. Hey Bernard: I'm getting only 17 possible unique transfers per the rules of each lever class being used once and the other five simple machines being used three times. You would think five simple machines used three times would equal 15 plus the three levers equal 18, but I can't get 18 unique transfers. Can you? Also, how do you understand the rule about unique transfers? For example, suppose there was a sequence of Pulley to Wedge to Screw. Would that count as two unique transfers, that is, Pulley to Wedge and Wedge to Screw? The Wedge in this example would receive energy in the first transfer and it would transfer the energy in the second? Does this seem to be the correct interpretation? Thanks.

It should be possible to get 18 unique transfers, since according to 4.c. "The initial type of machine in a transfer is counted for points. (e.g. a Pulley -> Lever 1st Class would count as a Pulley Transfer, while a Lever 1st Class -> Pulley would count as a Lever Transfer.)"
So yes, at minimum you'd have to use one of the Simple Machine Types a 4th time at the end, but that should still count since it's not the initiating Simple Machine Type in the last transfer.

Can we use the same type of ending simple machine more than 3 time in the system to count for point (not at the end). this is not the initiating Simple Machine?
For example:
Pulley to Wedge (count for points)
.......
Screw to Wedge (count for points)
.....
Inclined plane to Wedge(count for points)
.....
Class 1 lever to Wedge (count for points?)
For example:
Pulley to Wedge (count for points)
.......
Screw to Wedge (count for points)
.....
