Which system to do find the most challenging?
Have any of you ever been to a competition for Science Oly?
If you have, how hard was it?

1) Of this year, Muscular
2) & 3) As bernard said previously, many of us have and a more specific question would get more detailed responses.

nope. I was wondering the same thing
Don't they usually have the same/very similar information to the training powerpoint? That's at least out on the SO website

How should you study the material, should you divide it with your partner or study it all? Which one would help more during the competition?

-Here's a link to a free anatomy textbook that has a lot of good info and is a good place to start: https://www.openstaxcollege.org/textboo ... physiology
-Wikipedia is a very good resource
-There are also a lot of websites on soinc.org for Anatomy: https://www.soinc.org/anatomy_physiology_c

Aside from reading the rules, the soinc.org website that I linked above will give you some resources and a training powerpoint for this year's topics (and that powerpoint includes what the focus topics for the next few years will be). Also be sure you regularly check the FAQs (https://www.soinc.org/frequently_asked_questions) and rules clarifications (https://www.soinc.org/official_rules_clarif) just in case there are any changes/additions/questions about the rules. There isn't anything for Anatomy right now, and usually it's mostly build events that get FAQs or clarifications, but it's possible that something comes up in Anatomy throughout the year.

For anatomy, I usually split it up with my partner by systems. That way, we can learn the systems more in depth. Since anatomy tests are almost always fairly evenly spread out across the three systems, there isn't much risk of getting a test that is so long in one section that both partners need to know the system in order to finish the test in time. My partner and I are probably going to both study for Integumentary since we both already studied that system from last year, and one of us will take skeletal while the other takes muscular. And we'll both have to know how the skeletal and muscular systems work together. During competitions, it's easiest to split up the test based on system since it's usually organized that way anyway.
