Yep! I made that one easy to keep the question marathon going, can you come up with a harder one?Jaol wrote:Magikarpmaster629 wrote: 1. Common and scientific name 2. Describe current US distribution (or get picture) 3. What properties make it invasive?1. Japanese Honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica) 2 Every state except Ak, VT, OR, ID, WY, MT, ND, SD, and MN. 3 Parasitic plant that grows quickly and strangles other plants. Is hard to destroy at later stages because it grows a strong and thick trunk.

It is the Soybean Cyst Nematode or Heterodera Glycines. You can manage it by rotating your plants(or planting the non-hosts), use germicide(apparently better than nematicide), control weeds, and manage your plants health because plant stress will aggravate the SCNs. It is native to Japan, maybe China, and it is hypothesized to be native to the US.

Re: Invasive Species B/C
Everything is right except for the last question. You wouldn't want to eat them because they have barely any meat inside of them and since they are filter feeders, the pollutants that they feed off of can harm you.
