Do you guys intend to memorize genus-species for all organisms or just the common name?

You should know both, but if you were to memerize just one, do the common names, and put the scientific name (as well as most of your info) in the binder. (BTW, Genus species is called binomial nomenclature.)

You should probably memorize the genus-species-subspecies and common names, since those will be asked somewhat often (although according to the 2013 trial rules, likely less than in other ID events).

Also, what happened to the actual question marathon part?

So do you think we will get binders like fossils or cheat sheets like entomology? I have seen rules for invasives that state binders and others that state cheat sheets.

1. Japanese Honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica)
2 Every state except Ak, VT, OR, ID, WY, MT, ND, SD, and MN.
3 Parasitic plant that grows quickly and strangles other plants. Is hard to destroy at later stages because it grows a strong and thick trunk.
