Re: Pentathlon Practice!!!
I wish people would tell us which science topics to study. Just saying to study general science topics hurts you because you are studying one thing and then something else is what you have to figure out

So I am still unclear is there a time limit and what type of physical and academic activities did you guys have to do? What about the last big group activity what did you guys do for that????

Re: Pentathlon Practice!!!
At my invintationals the Pentatholon course was: shoot a hockey puck into the goal, if you got it in move on the question. if not keep trying. the question was over the electromagnetic spectrum. then so on with ride a scooter to the wall and back, question, bowling, question, thrown hacky sacks into a bucket, question. the time limit is two min for each of the stations. if you got the question wrong then you had to go back and do the pyshical part. then a group activity and question. the maximum time you have is 10 minutes.......don't stress the questions they are super easy. for us, the physical part was the hardest...especially the hackey sack.

That sounds like a fun thing to do, but not as an event. I repeat myself as before, let this be a side thing to do between events, not an actual event.lindykate02 wrote:At my invintationals the Pentatholon course was: shoot a hockey puck into the goal, if you got it in move on the question. if not keep trying. the question was over the electromagnetic spectrum. then so on with ride a scooter to the wall and back, question, bowling, question, thrown hacky sacks into a bucket, question. the time limit is two min for each of the stations. if you got the question wrong then you had to go back and do the pyshical part. then a group activity and question. the maximum time you have is 10 minutes.......don't stress the questions they are super easy. for us, the physical part was the hardest...especially the hackey sack.

Re: Pentathlon Practice!!!
well my team have been looking at websites and text books and making questions to help us with the academic part. For the physical we have been doing random tag team stuff. Like little bowling, flying an airplane through a hop, blowing bubbles through a hop, and egg on a spoon and carry it in your mouth.

Re: Pentathlon Practice!!!
Hi!
I had my invitational on Feb. 7 and have my regionals this weekend.
The physical events for my invitational were:
Jumprope 10 times
Ping Pong ball on a spoon weaving around chairs
Throw dodgeball into bucket 3 ft away
Hula hoop 10 rotations
3 people on the team had to carry the fourth person (who happened to be me)
The academic events were hard to tell what they were about.
The lady who was running the event told us what the physical and science challenges were about so we could figure out what we wanted to do about five minutes before it was our turn.
TIP: When deciding who will do what, base it on the ACADEMIC QUESTION, not the physical thing.
As long as you are in good shape, almost anyone can do the physical event, even though different people will know different science topics.
