Re: Scioly Achievement List
Invites are more of an East Coast/Ohio Valley thing. On the West Coast, as far as I know, there are very few invites and they're all small. I think Washington state has one, and Oregon might? have one. California only has two - Mira Loma and Troy - as far as I'm concerned, and those both barely started last year/two years ago.ckssv07 wrote:Actually, as far as I know, my team is the only one in our region that goes to any invitationals at all, let alone multiple.

Oregon has several according to their state wiki page; but yes, in the Southeast I believe only Georgia has more than 1 per division.boomvroomshroom wrote:Invites are more of an East Coast/Ohio Valley thing. Re: Scioly Achievement List
A couple of my teammates went to an invitational, but I couldn't go because our orchestra was performing elsewhere on the same day.

In Ohio, my team will have competed in seven invitationals this year. They are quite common around here.

There are a whole bunch in Illinois, the div B team went to two of them.

Re: Scioly Achievement List
Mega Clutch: I was signed up for Entomology at the last minute
Shocker: Entomology
Newton Leibniz: My first cheat-sheet for Disease Detectives was terrible and I had no partner
Beat the Curve: Dynamic Planet, 1st invitational
Multiple Guess: Disease Detectives
Host: Disease Detectives (sometimes)
Parasite: Dynamic Planet
Study Event Parasitism: Borrowed cheat-sheet from the team we work with
Event Polygon: Bridge Building -> Air Trajectory -> Simple Machines -> Solar System -> Crime Busters -> Dynamic Planet
Uncontested: Bridge Building
LOL: Bridge Building
Almost Consistency: Bridge Building: 1-1-1-3-1
Un-Street Smart: My first year. My dad has to show me where my events are now -_-
-1^N: Only did good in Bridge Building
Nice Anti-Stoic
Hair Makes You Dumb: We failed Entomology because someone's hair on another team was fascinating.
Team Relations: Made friends because of SciOly
Popularity: We attended 4 invitational
Donor: THE CALCULATORS
Cold Shoulder: Disease Detectives and Bridge Building
Warm Shoulder: Disease Detectives and Bridge Building
0 Degrees Kelvin Shoulder: Last year, Crime Busters and Sounds of Music (same person)
Maybe more?
Suggestions:
Love Shoulder: Your teammate became your significant other
Cold Shoulder: You didn't like your teammate, so you gave them silent treatment and changed whatever they thought the answer was, even if it was right
Warm Shoulder: Became friendlier with the one you cold shouldered
0 Degrees Kelvin Shoulder: Became enemies with your partner
Metric Master: After being in Metric Mastery, you switched from American to Metric system.
Nice Anti-Stoic: Support anyone on your team who meadled, regardless what they placed
Team Relations: Made friends on your team
LOL: Be the one who got 1st instead of the rage person
Shocker: Find out you need to do another event the day of the tournament.

Re: Scioly Achievement List
Me in a nutshell, except that I'm like that any time anyone from our team medals- it doesn't have to be 1st, and it doesn't have to be me.ANTI-STOIC AWARD: Get 1st and clap/cheer excessively
And that's not even getting into how I reacted when we heard that we got 2nd overall...
