Yes, I did. I'm from John P. Stevens High School.
Why do you ask?
(Seeing how you're from Washington, I'm even surprised you know about our specific regions)

Everyone knows about your regions. You all talk about them all the time on your State page.nxtscholar wrote:Yes, I did. I'm from John P. Stevens High School.

Re: Scores B/C
Does anyone actually know if there is a rule about taking pictures or videos of sci oly structures? Every time I go to a competition there are always people who sit there and take videos of all the bridges.
If it is your turn to test can you ask the proctor to tell everyone to put away cameras?

In general, this had been discussed for years before and the general consensus is that there's little E/S can do about restricting people from taking photos. After all, these are "open-public" events, subject to spectators. I mean, take New Jersey. The tournament coordinators themselves took pictures (and now it's on fb)

Re: Scores B/C
Ive been getting scores in the 2600 to 2800 range. Any idea of how that might do at nationals assuming I cant successfully drop any more weight?
also how much does the woods density actually effect its strength?

That is very good. At nationals, I would hazard a guess in the top 10, probably winning medal with the upper end of that range. The wood's density affects its strength quite a lot believe.someusername wrote:Ive been getting scores in the 2600 to 2800 range. Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Re: Scores B/C
So if I use the same design but say I had a 4g and it held all the weight, would the 3g beam be too weak to hold all the weight? I don't have very many light pieces so I don't want to use them up quite yetchinesesushi wrote: The wood's density affects its strength quite a lot believe.
