Dynamic Planet B/C
I can't believe this hasn't been created yet...so let's get started.
Give two examples of sources of terrigenous sediments.

Re: Dynamic Planet B/C
Oops completely misread the questions Dx
Two sources of terrigenous sediments are from the erosion of rocks (on the land) and volcano emissions?

What's the difference between passive and active continental shelfs?

Re: Dynamic Planet B/C
The main differences between active and passive continental margins are that active margins occur near convergent tectonic plates, have lots of seismic and volcanic activity, and are much more narrow than passive margins which are much wider, very rarely experience any volcanic or seismic activity, and are facing the edges of divergent tectonic plates.

Spring tides are when the sun, moon, and earth are lined up, and neap tides are when the sun and moon are at 90° angles from each other, with Earth at the "corner." Spring tides generally have more extreme high and low tides than neap tides.
