this might be unnecessary and stupid... but I would really like to have the ability to search members by sate/location. I'd really like to contact people from my own state. (and if this is a thing would anyone like to show me how...?)
research is what I'm doing when I don't know what I'm doing.

2013 { heredity/food science/widi } *regionals, states*
2014 { heredity/heli/widi } *regionals, states, nationals*
2015 { gliders/bio-process lab/green gen/pic this }
---
nationals results ~ 12th in heredity, 18th in widi

If you click "Members" next to the logout button you can sort all the members alphabetically by location, but I don't think you can search them. This also means that if you want to, for example, find people from Michigan you can find the people who listed "MI" or "Michigan" as a location clumped together but might miss someone who says they are from "Kalamazoo, MI".

The Question Marathons could be significantly improved with a bit of extra programming. If a post was tagged as a question or answer, one could automatically compile a list of all questions, rather than making a person search through an entire thread of mixed questions and answers. Furthermore, when someone gets it correct, the question-poster could select the correct answer and the next person would get a PM notification saying it is their turn to post a question.
When it comes to the future, there are three kinds of people: those who let it happen, those who make it happen, and those who wonder what happened.

What specific problems are you having with the gallery? I haven't noticed it working any slower than usual. Where are the trouble spots?

One problem I have with the image gallery is just how much blank space there is. When scrolling through the images, they are small enough to the point where you have to click on each individual picture to get a good view, but there is a decent amount of light blue background separating each of the images. Also, all of the text in the image gallery seems to be smaller than it could be. I don't know if anyone else has the same problem, but it definitely contributes to making the image gallery a rare visit for me.

Well thanks for the help, I'll see what can be done about tidying it up a bit.

Not sure if possible, but maybe you guys could try implementing a private chatting system similar to Gmail chat (only between certain people.)

For example when I get to know someone on the forums, the PM exchanges are rather slow and some people lose interest quickly. Chatting would be more instantaneous and easier to make connections. I give them my email sometimes, but people aren't always comfortable.

Thanks!

If you go on our chat client, you can select a specific user and send private messages that way. Both of you have to be on at the same time, of course, otherwise it would be better to just use private messages on the forums. ;)

Here's something I just noticed; whenever a forum name is too big, the home page doesn't show the first part of it (like right now).
