Dynamic Planet sucks. Who wants to learn about a block of ice? ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif)

Good point. It is kind of dumb.Bozongle wrote:I would have to say Metric Mastery. The event itself doesn't seem to have much scientific basis, other than the understanding of the metric system. Other than that, it doesn't have much real value in the advanced world of science, especially estimation. It seems kind of stupid to try to master estimating measurements, when in reality you would use tools if needed to measure something. Also, sometimes the event can be ridiculous, such as the estimation/measurement of the temperature of water, when it fluctuates throughout the day. I personally don't like it.

I'm not a Dynamic Planet person, but I'm pretty sure glaciers can be pretty useful for predicting climate cycles.

It seems really silly to memorize hundreds of trees, but I guess it counts as an event since scientists do study itJohn Richardsim wrote:Forestry. It doesn't interest me at all. I really sucked at it. I've taken 25 point practice quizzes and gotten 0 right multiple times.

I have to disagree. They can ask you to draw almost anything pertaining to many different fields of science, and if you can draw it you'll probably have a decent understanding of whatever you're drawing.Astroknight wrote:Then get ready for Picture This, which has even less to do with science and is rotating in for Metric Mastery!
As for metrics, it's not really about estimation or measurement, it's about math. And math is really all about the skill of problem solving if you ask me. Although, I do agree about temperature. In fact, I've never heard anybody say that it isn't kind of sketchy.Bozongle wrote:I would have to say Metric Mastery. I didn't like GeoLogic Mapping very much. It was a bit confusing ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif)

Personally I disliked Experimental Design (I'm still not sure why).

helicopters. mostly because my partner and I could not stop breaking the darn things. And because at states BOTH of our helicopters broke. It was very frustrating.
research is what I'm doing when I don't know what I'm doing.

Hydrogeology is the only event that I really disliked, and believed should not have been an event. (It also happens to be one of only two events I've beaten Troy in, so, ehh? (14ht place to Troy's 15th place lol))
