How many teams from each state get to go to nationals?

Each state automatically receives one national tournament invitation for each division. States with the highest registration numbers by division are then awarded a second national tournament invitation, up to a total of 60 teams per division. Currently, there are 48 states with Division C organizations and 47 states with Division B organizations. Thus, the 12 states with the most Division C teams will receive two Division C national tournament invitations, and the 13 states with the most Division B teams will receive two Division B national tournament invitations. In the event that a state organization declines its national tournament invitation for either division, the invitation passes to the state with the highest team registration in that division that has not already been awarded a second invitation for that division.

I see that you are from California. California's registration numbers are sufficient to ensure it two national tournament invitations per division. However, as California holds two state tournaments per division -- one for Northern California and one for Southern California -- exactly one team per division from each of these geographic regions will receive a national tournament invitation.

Is the schedule on the nationals website final? I am in entomology and my partner is in ento, widi, rocks, and meteo. However, he has a huge event conflict with ento, meteo, and widi. The National Schedule is final when the rules are released in the fall. The only changes at this point would be events changing rooms.
