Good luck on your audition! It's really hard to get into. I knew a kid who didn't make it on English Horn, and he got into Curtis.
You might want to focus on one instrument to try out on. Another good possibility (if you're 16-19) is NYO-USA which is kind of like a summer festival youth orchestra in New York.

Hummel is higher. And way way more insane and there's a section that's virtually impossible.
Really insane piece on cello: Saint Saens concerto #2. IT'S ALL THIRDS.

MY AUDITION WAS TODAY! -shriek- Now I have to wait 2 days for the jury to decide if I made it to the Symphony.
