Also, just in case you all are worried, the bonus next year will not be a chinook (as of this moment,) so I wouldn't worry about building one for competition. Although you should totally work on one just for fun over summer!

Roy uses two very small aluminum tubes bent to form the curve with .014" wire run through them.PHXcoach wrote:That was a beautiful flight, but I am still curious how Ron transfered the energy from the horizontal bands to the vertical prop shafts evenly.
A rubber band is attached to one end of the wire while the prop is on the other.
The real trick is to get the props equal. That's where the years of experience make it look easy.
