Any siblings out there doing S.O. together?

For anything Science Olympiad-related that might not fall under a specific event or competition.

We have 3 sets of twins competing in at least one event together.
Me and my twin sister also do Disease together - got 2nd @ regionals.
My sister's also sitting right here, and noticed your signature includes the events Junkyard and Aquifers. She says they're awesome events, and to say hi. :D
Thanks! :D :D

My older brother and sister are twins too. My brother does scioly, but my older sister does not :)

We have 10 sets of twins in our grade (around 225 people), which is almost 5%!

Anyway, enough about twins :D

Haha, both my sisters do science olympiad, but we're not on any events together. We've pondered going on experimental design together though, just so we can be a notorious trio or somethingorother.

Ye that'd be could since you share a common language. My brother and I worked on Write it Do it together and placed 2nd. You should try it too. :)

A couple siblings in our team (1 year apart) are our current WIDI members and have gotten first everytime so far (except once at an invite when one brother was sick)... Sibling companionship sure seems to help!

I think it's helpful for siblings to do events like WIDI together because 1. They have a lot of time to practice together and 2. They probably share a common language. Some may also use their telepathy so the writer cab send an image of the object to the doer. ;)
I lost the game.

Sadly, my sister isn't in middle school yet but next year she will be and will definitely be doing science o. Sadly-er, I'll be moving on to high school team so we won't be able to use our telepathy powers until I'm a senior and she's a freshman. We have been preparing for that moment for our entire lives and you will rue the day you ever attempted to compete against the unstoppable Root Sisters. MWHAHAHAHAHA!!! *cough cough* I swallowed a bug...
2013 Events:
Helicopters- 1st
Rocks and Minerals- 2nd
Sounds of Music- 1st
Water Quality- 2nd

I'd tell a chemistry joke but all of the good ones Ar.
I'm going to PA States! PM me if you are too and maybe we'll see each other!

All four of my kiddos are on SO teams, 3 in C and 1 in B. No shared events this year. Well, my 12th grader is the writer in WIDI and my 6th is a doer. So, they practice together some (realizing that the B's writer has a somewhat different style).

In the past, we've had siblings on events: robocross, ornithology, reptiles, WIDI, and (my favorite) Picture This (two of my kids and a neighbor).

Other times, I'd have one on Microbe/C and one on Microbe/B, etc.

I wish I had done WIDI with my sister, but it never worked out (mainly because I only ever did WIDI at the state and national level, never during invites. Strange) Now my other sister is on the team, so hopefully they can work together. FAMILY SCIOLY DYNASTIES.

My brother and I both 'do' S.O. together, but I don't think in the way you were asking about;)
