Yeah, the Churchill invitational helped us a lot. The problem is, we think that the judges mixed up the two teams from our school, and the only way to find out for sure is to look at the tests which they won't give us. Why is it policy to not give them back? I thought SciOly was about learning.

I'm glad that the Churchill Invite was helpful! We were hoping that more competition during the season, especially early on, would be beneficial for people to understand their events before the regional tournament. As for the mix-up at your regionals, I am deeply sorry if that is the case; it happens. Do keep in mind that often a B team does beat an A team, it happens quite frequently at Churchill and Mira Loma. I remember when I was in seventh grade on B team, my partner and I got called up for second place in Ecology, behind our A team. I was so happy! However, when we got the results sheet back, it turns out it was supposed to go to our C Team! So, things do happen; hopefully, you had fun though, and while you may not know specifically what went wrong, there are other ways that you can learn more about your topic so you can be successful in the future! I wish you good luck on making it to states next year!

Div C
3rd- Milpitas High School
2nd- Mission San Jose High School
1st- Palo Alto High School

as for Div B, I sort of forgot... I believe Hopkins Junior High and Mission Valley Elementary got 2nd or 3rd, and another school (oak something?) got 1st. I'll update this post when the results come out on the website.

top 4 teams from each division will go to states.

The people running Bay Area Regionals said that they wouldn't give us our tests back. Is this normal? My team really wants to study so we can get to states next year.

Yeah, barso doesnt give tests back. Bummer, right?
