They can give you just about anything. I would also try using k'nex as those are popular as well.

yeah definitely use knex. also legos are ok... they are a little difficult depending on what you build so you probably shouldnt start with them. also look on the scioly picture gallery for the coins picture. they seem interesting. and maybe try some random combination of string, pieces of wood, paper, etc. anything you do will help in competition.

Write fast, but make sure your writing is legible.

hah. somewhat contradictory. im trying to get around the "writing legibly" part by doing lots of practice so my partner understands my writing. of course, ill try my best to write neatly...it always turns into scribble eventually.
