If you were the assassinator, such a post would deflect suspicion upon someone else.
I protect TheGenius because of the DaVinci connection and because I have no further insights.

I feel very much like a hipocryte right now for what I am about to do seeing as how I just said we should focus on the clue at hand, but here it goes:
I just looked at the typos in the sassy's posts, and in the first post, he/she omitted 3 e's. Sound like triple e at all? So maybe the sassy has something to do with triple e. (heh heh I'm on triple e, aren't I)
In the second post with the officers and clue, a t is inproperly capitalized. I don't know what to think of this one, though it may be either part of the clue or another ID clue....
