does anyone have the rules for Gravity Vehicle C. Another question the follow up to that is how heavy are the vehicle allowed to be and how big can they be.

Most of us have the rules, but the copyright prohibits us from posting them here, ask your schools coach for them, they should've gotten a copy when your team registered.

Yes i understand the copyrights my coach has orders the rules but I want to get started with my car so i want to know what the size can be and how heavy it can be also has the ramp changed

BTW, if you go back and read througgh the posts this year, this info is there....
So- there's no limit on vehicle width this year, but the ramp has to be <50cm wide by <75cm deep, by <2m high. There is a major scoring penalty for ramp height. Where last year, you wanted to be right up at the 1m max to get max speed, this year you'll want significantly lower to score well. Time scoring factor is 25 x time (in sec); Height score is 400 x height (in cm)/(300-vehicle height(in cm)). Optimal height for best score will depend on how good your friction control (minimization) is- the better it is, the lower ramp height you can use, and the lower the ramp height, the better your score.
Max weight is down from 2.5kg to 1.5kg this year, so that with lower velocities due to lower ramp height again means friction management pays off big.

Last year I noticed tons of wooden ramps, and nearly no ramps constructed out of metal. Is there any particular reason for this? Wouldn't it be easier and smoother to just place some sheet metal with supports on the bottom?

I'm not sure if I saw the same things as you but we personally (and some other teams) did use aluminum sheets on our ramp. Other teams with wood ramps might have chosen to use wood for convenience purposes, etc. Especially knowing the VA teams.

It's almost certainly because wood is cheaper and easier to work with than metal.
