The IMSA regional did replace the Plank Regional.

For example, in C division, if you are preparing for both Rocks and Fermi, you will not be able to compete in both at the same competition. These will always conflict. The actual schedules, based on these blocks, will be posted by regional and invitational directors. The Full state schedule will be posted on the ISO website.
I was at IMSA two days ago for a math team meet - handy hint: the rooms in the main building are just in a big circle. (If lost, just keep your hand on the left wall and go forward, you'll get out...eventually XD) Can't help you with moving between buildings though. (I sympathize though, I have a terrible sense of direction >_>)sciencegeek999 wrote:Well, I'm going to IMSA for regioanls this year. I'm gonna get lost, and I got lost at Plank, which is smaller.
Ummm... that wasn't actually encouraging at all XDtuftedtitmouse12 wrote:Don't worry. Plank was symmetrical >.<
As in your coach decides to put someone else on the event instead of you? If you're an 8th grader, slim to none...? Unless your coach really dislikes you or there are some super talented 7th graders on your team.sciencegeek999 wrote:Also, I want to be in Heredity and Keep the Heat. Nice, nice... how many other seniors are there on your team now? We've got six.mrsteven wrote:No idea, all I know is I be a senior... and I have first pick of events as the only person on the current team with a state medal and the time I put in haha
lol if it makes anyone feel better, I admittedly got a bit lost at State 2011...and may you recall it was raining that morningtuftedtitmouse12 wrote:Don't worry. Plank was symmetrical >.<
We dunno, good performance last season helps, but that all depends on how much competition you have from returning seventh graders. For KtH, were you in it last season? Are there returning kids who DID it last season? Those may play a role. Additionally, if you do well this season and work your tail off, none of that can matter and you can do any event, really, regardless of all the other factors. There have been times I told myself, you know, if you hit an event in rotation for two years on the second year that you can't perform well, well, that's inaccurate. Just do your best.sciencegeek999 wrote:Also, I want to be in Heredity and Keep the Heat. My school went to state all 7 years we had a team, so we're almost definitely going to go again.
