I was just thinking that it would be annoying for a Monroe-Woodburyian to have states at their own school, but not attending themselves, especially if they are a team which has never made it to states.

And I too have stuff to do for school tomorrow...still have about 1/4 of my summer work to finish...oops.

Well the school is rather massive (by my standards at least, it holds about 2000 students), so maybe they put in a bid to hold the competition as a way of trying to motivate the team to qualify, knowing that they had the capabilities to run it?

I've never even heard of Monroe-Woodbury...but B Division States this year is at Syracuse University! :D It's going to be a long drive for us if we make it, but that just makes me all the more excited.

I've been checking the New York SciOly page quite frequently, but does anyone have any suggestions for Invitationals for a Western Long Island B Division Team? On the NY page it says there were two last year; are those invites going to be held this year as well? I convinced my coach to let us go to an invitational, in the hopes of making our team more competitive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On another note, I got my copy of the rules today. So that is awesomesauce.
Current Events: Dynamic Planet, Entomology, and Experimental Design

RCS (assuming it runs again, but as far as I know it usually does) shouldn't be too much of a problem logistically for your team, I know Weber's gone before from WLI. And my team is still waiting on our copy of the rules :(

"Mad nice"? That's good...however, do you happen to know if it is a nice school in general, or a good school for a scioly competition? (Namely, does it have good spaces for testing events?)

Yeah, anyone have rules yet? We don't. Do you think they send them right away to anyone who pays that insane fast-shipping charge?!

Isn't that question more for the PA thread, considering where Athens is. Also, I think in general we are just trying to plan for the year now. I am hoping we go back to Athens because it was fun and all. We'll see. The official info for it doesn't even seem to be up yet, is it? Aside from that one date on the PA wiki I mean.
