Littleboy, who do you think that points to? I have found another potential lead, but if yours points to someone more reasonable, I won't rush to protect.

Re: Scioly Assassination 89: The Promise of Dying
Since I am bored and nothing is happening, I
1. Protect harryk for a number of small a probably incorrect reasons, and
2. Accuse zyzzyva, for a number of less small but similarly likely-incorrect reasons, because I am feeling somewhat accusation-happy.
Hopefully if I am wrong about both of these, we will solve the current kill clue so I only loose 1 accusation.

1. I have no idea who that points to. It may not have anything to do with the USSR, but perhaps a different country (possibly one of the current countries where it used to be?)
2. I only protected because he was the first person I could relate to the clue and I needed to because I otherwise I wouldn't have been able to protect.

Alright, after much searching & thinking, all have come up with for this clue are these leads:
-The Chrysler K-platform cars, which are sometimes called EEKs and stopped being made in 1989, the end of the Cold War
-The old Estonian currency kroon, which has the currency code EEK and was first put out of circulation with the Russian occupation of Estonia, which could easily be Estonia's most important war
-The novel King Rat by James Clavel, which was about a Japenese WWII prison camp
This is all I have and I am thoroughly sick of this clue, and will probably bs a protect if something doesn't come up.

Dang it I wanted to do that if I was ever sassyAssassinator wrote:I sense discord among the population of SciOly.org. I have been hearing that some people want to potentially put an end to this sacred game. I can't allow this to happen. While there are officers willing to take the challenge, we will always have the promise of dying.
1. The police officers will be the next five people who post. Put in a bit of thought before posting. If you have not been around for awhile, it is less likely that you will be able to identify me.
2. People will die. However, there are some exceptions. I will not kill administrators or moderators. In return, I ask that they not reveal my identity.
3. Police officers may die, but they can protect themselves.
4. The assassin will provide clues that plainly point to his next victim, and occasionally to himself.
5. The assassin will continue to post with his true account, and may provide hints there.
6. The assassin will write entertaining and mildly gruesome accounts of his kills.
7. The Assassinator reserves the right to add to these rules as he deems necessary.
Let us return to our beginning.
The black mark rule also still applies, but unlike the first games, three black marks and you are out.

Re: Scioly Assassination 89: The Promise of Dying
Sorry if I was misreading, if this is incorrect, etc. Just please don't protect anyone who I mention right away. So, I am thinking that it could actually refer to the US. If so then it would most likely relate to three wars. The Revolutionary, Civil, or WWII.
With the Revolutionary war I tried to look through people who could relate to Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe (first five presidents), and I couldn't find anything.
With the Civil war I could find the two links of Lincoln and Davis (the North and South leaders respectively). That could either point to Lincoln->Linkin' Park->forever or Davis->Cedavis. I believe both technically did survive to the end of the war despite Lincoln dying literally at the end of it.
With WWII I really didn't know. Firstly, it could really involve many countries. There are all the leaders at the time of FDR, Churchill (which could point to someone from the school, but I wasn't sure of anyone major), Stalin, de Gaulle, etc. Besides this I am unsure. Sorry again if this over-complicates things or wasn't very useful. I didn't really think it was the Cold War because the Cold War isn't exactly described as a war per se. I guess wait, and if you can't come up with anyone else you can protect them/figure out something from the other possible links.

Re: Scioly Assassination 89: The Promise of Dying
Yay, you figured me out! And just in the nick of time, too, since you were the target of my next clue. I hope everyone enjoyed the game, I tried to keep it entertaining, and I just want you all to know I've never seen a group of officers this lucky. I'll post again in a little bit. twototwenty, pm your pick for the next assassinator and make it a good one, hopefully there will be no discussions of ending the games after this one.twototwenty wrote:Since I am bored and nothing is happening, I
