Yes, they are supposed to lead us astray as we work on kill/ID clues.

Look at some past games, kiddos. It wasn't even my idea in the first place.

Would you care to elaborate further on this? I do not believe I understand what you are getting at. (You don't have to worry about the double agent and myself taking advantage of your explanation by exploiting the loophole; We will play by the spirit of the rules.)PacificGoldenPlover wrote:Also sassy, there is currently a way for you to win the game virtually immediately, based on a loophole regarding the double agent.
Yes. We are actively collaborating and conspiring.illusionofconfusion wrote:Question: Does the double agent know that (s)he is the double agent?

fozendog's protect is nullified for this clue.
I buried the last of the mines -- taking great care not to set any of them off -- and took my time retreating to a hillside a couple miles away where I would still be able to see the new smoking crater in the ground. I pushed the big red button on the detonator, but nothing happened. I pressed it several more times and even checked to make sure all the electronics were working correctly, but got the same result. My target had already called the bomb squad, who had removed the mines to the bomb range where they exploded with nothing more than a loud KABOOM.
tornado guy has correctly protected himself.

Your next clue (there may be a hint given on this one, depending on how clueless all of you are):
1. A man who stole some of his most famous words from under locke and key.
2. A man famous for achieving victory in war only after others had achieved victory in peace.
---
There may be another twist in the game coming up soon.

The second one sounds like a famous quote that I'm just missing, but the first one sounds like a reference to John Locke. Perhaps this person's most famous words were actually said by Locke.Assassinator wrote:Your next clue (there may be a hint given on this one, depending on how clueless all of you are):

Sassy, I made a rather embarrassing mistake. Ignore that post.
Regarding the clue, Thomas Jefferson's "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" was directly plagiarized from John Locke's "Life, Liberty, and Property"

My thoughts on each part of the clue:Assassinator wrote: Your next clue (there may be a hint given on this one, depending on how clueless all of you are):
1. A man who stole some of his most famous words from under locke and key.
2. A man famous for achieving victory in war only after others had achieved victory in peace.
Part 1: I agree with the Thomas Jefferson interpretation.
Part 2: The chronology seems a bit strange since people typically talk about peace after a war has ended, as opposed to before it has started. This could refer to the Civil War (Henry Clay's attempts to prevent the war), the Cold War (formation of the United Nations), or potentially some other war.

That hardly narrows it down; the officers are currently fairly active (everyone protected on the last clue, I believe).mnstrviola wrote:well yeah, an active officer.fozendog wrote:I thought the double agent was one of the officers
