That will be entirely up to your local supervisor. I suggest contacting them to see what sort of setup they will be providing.lucasbrackins wrote:Is the competition area on the floor?
If so are we provided a chair? Or bring one. My tether is not long enough for me to stand and the robot be on the floor

Re: Robot Arm C
Has anyone had trouble with VEX motors sometimes not turning? I can hear a response in the motor, but it won't move. It will SOMETIMES randomly come back and start turning after I wiggle the joystick or push the button a few times or turn the controller off and on. Mostly it doesn't respond and I just let it sit for awhile then come back to it later.

Re: Robot Arm C
Are you using the long gray motors, or the usual green ones? I've had a lot of issues with the gray ones that come with the Vexplorer kit. I ended up getting new motors, although you can probably open them up and see if maybe a gear is stripped.NinjaChicken wrote:Has anyone had trouble with VEX motors sometimes not turning? Re: Robot Arm C
So far I haven't been to a competition with an impound, but otherwise I guess I would have toOldSpice wrote:Do you impound it with your arm or just bring it with you?harryk wrote: I always bring a chair/stool
I do, if the playing field is on the floor, but if it's on a table then I need a chair because my controls are not handheld, I need a surface/lap to put them onillusionist wrote:Why don't you guys just kneel/sit on the floor next to your robot....?

They overheat, if you use them too long. Let them cool a bit, and don't hold the controller down if you don't need to.NinjaChicken wrote:I think green?
