I'd start with basic vocab, stratification, the hydrologic cycle, and types of freshwater.
Road Scholar seems to depress everyone on my team who does it, but it's my favorite event...

What formats have everybody's tests been in? Last year at states, mine was almost entirely simple charts and topographical maps. I was expecting more of a traditional test format.

right now I'm basically working on cramming my notesheets. I've barely been able to practice considering our meets are always cancelled. I'm using some previous tests and the wiki as the primary source for my notes; is there anything I should really focus on for my notesheets though?

This is pretty hard to say considering every person is at different levels in reference to their knowledge of the subject. Most of the time it is best to add things that you cannot understand/remember.

Additionally, in my opinion on an event like this when you have a pretty large amount of notes diagrams are a good idea. Also, a good section dedicated to vocabulary is very good. Finally, sections just describing, in general, the various topics are always good.

Hope this helps!

It depends entirely on your test writer. I would rely more on what your own state/regionals tests have looked like than what people from other states have been getting.
ornithology, forestry, entomology, triple E, green generation, water quality, dynamic planet (lakes & rivers), awesome aquifers, meteorology, robot arm, write it do it. :)

Yeah, i think its better to go over the national tests first, that way you can know what is needed most and go from there. :D

New at this...
It depends, gigaboo, do you know if it's the same person making the test? If it's the same person they tend to use the same format. If not there's now way of telling for sure.

As for mines, it was a regular test format.

The nationals test can and often does look entirely different from your state or regionals test, especially for an event like DP where there are hundreds different ways to test the same material.

This event is beginning to stress me out.
Nonetheless, my notesheets are coming along. Out of curiosity how much emphasis was put on Topography when you all did this event?
