Division got Gold last year, but they were actually second fastest at West Point.

It wasn't 0.6 seconds. It was under 1, but not by much. Tales grow in the telling, as they say.

Re: MagLev C [Trial]
I got 2.8 seconds with a 100g sled which landed me with 5th place at NYC. I thought it was decent since I changed the motors and everything the night before.

Re: MagLev C [Trial]
Our team is running way behind on this event. Can anyone advise what kind of motor they are running? What voltage would you suggest. A three blade or a 2 blade prop? I know I'm asking for details, but I'm sure it takes a lot of time and trial to get this to work. Just looking for a starting point..thanks

Re: MagLev C [Trial]
Baker,
Start with some planning. Any small commercial motor should work. Plan out your sled so it's well balanced. Number of prop blades isn't extremely important. I slapped together a maglev in 5 hours and got top six at regionals with a two blade prop. Best of luck!
