Study the topics listed under section 3 of the rules as in-depth as possible. Use Google, get books, or whatever. The wiki has a lot of the basic info in one place, so you may want to begin there. The test exchange has a bunch of tests from last year, too.bdarji wrote:Hellllo everyone!

Re: Dynamic Planet B/C
The training handout is great (although long). Read over the important parts and copy and paste away! The pictures are great for cheatsheets too, and there's more than enough room. It helps if you're in road scholar and aquifers, because there are concepts from the both of them in DynPlan.
Road Scholar seems to depress everyone on my team who does it, but it's my favorite event...

Unfortunately, the Dynamic Planet training guide is not publicly available on soinc. Did you get it from the CD, or did your coach attend the Summer Institute?silentsage wrote:The training handout is great (although long). Read over the important parts and copy and paste away! Hint: Try google. Many coaches post materials on their public web pages.Luo wrote:Unfortunately, the Dynamic Planet training guide is not publicly available on soinc. Haha, yes, I already have the training guide from a public web page; I was just wondering where silentsage got his.rfscoach wrote:Hint: Try google. I got mine from a science olympiad team website (undisclosed location). Sorry, but my coaches went to a meeting there, guess it's not public.

Re: Dynamic Planet B/C
If your coach has been doing this more than a season, then s/he probably has one from last year saved somewhere on the HD or buried in a file cabinet from meetings like those. I'd ask if anyone needs it.

Re: Dynamic Planet B/C
Hi all,
I took a test at an invitational a few weeks ago and there was a lot of stuff on it about lakes, mainly stratification, but also a few other general questions about formation. I have had trouble finding any information about lakes and was wondering if anybody had any suggestions about where to look, aside from google of course.
Thanks.
