What is the main channel? Is it the same thing as a main stem?

Yes, a main channel is the same thing as a main stem. They both carry the majority of the water in a certain stream.

Last year they had some math problems for my division so I would recommend learning math a lot better if you are not a math geek (And I'm not one of those math geeks sadly...)
Things I love to do. Read, read, and read some more. :P

What were the math problems about?
Only thing I can think of right now is water flow rate?
And shouldn't most math problems for this event just be to plug in the numbers for a formula?

In division B I don't think you have to know much math.

Agree with space scholar about Division B. Know simple formulas... but really only Division C should worry about things like flow calculations and residence time.
