how in depth do you think they will get for section A and C in Division C?

In my opinion, parts A and C are the most important for this event. You should do fine if you know the basics for the items listed in part A. Most of parts A and C were covered in the course AP Environmental Science that I took last year. Part B, I feel, will require the most independent study, since it is not covered in any of my school courses.

So do we need to know actually how to test all the 9 WQI tests or do we just need to know about the tests? I know that the actual testing is limited to salinity.

You should have some knowledge on how the other 9 tests are done. They may give you some test results and ask you to interpret them.

That is what I was thinking. I like this event because you need the basic knowledge of ecology except WQ is 10 times more fun!

Fun as in like you get to build a salinometer or just a more fun topic to study?

It's just a fun topic to study. I like the macro-invertebrates, WQI and salinometer. It's one of my favorite events I've done so far.

The macro-invertebrate section takes a lot of time to study but it is an interesting subject.
There's quite a lot of organisms you need to be familiar with.

I think there are like 40 or so if you count the all the classes plus the pests, and there are like 6 things you need to know per organism.

I'll have to use a really small font on the notesheet.
Building the salinometer shouldn't be too hard if you just make a simple one. I think the studying will be the hard part.

For the salinometer, a simple one may not be hard, but it has to be accurate. And for the macro-organisms, I'm not sure how in depth the life cycle details have to be. I guess I'll try to be as specific as possible in my notes just in case.

Yes, one piece of paper with both sides filled with notes.

Im being truly honest here, size 4 or 6 font actually is very readable. I used that on my cheat sheets last year and put each section in different color to depict each area, easy to use and you can fit twice the info on the sheet

Use a small font and handwrite in all the upper margins of the paper where the computer doesn't type on.
