Re: Gravity Vehicle C
Personally I think this kind of set up would make a good launch mechanism.

Re: Gravity Vehicle C
What exactly is that? Also would you be able to block the axles with something attached to a rod and then just use the eraser to rotate the rod moving the object down?

Re: Gravity Vehicle C
Nice! Didn't know such a thing existed. I was imagining something that would function exactly like that, but it wouldn't be as small if you made it yourself..starpug wrote:That is an Archery trigger

Re: Gravity Vehicle C
It should be noted that that archery trigger/bow release cost about 20 dollars, so they are perhaps not the most low budget options...

Re: Gravity Vehicle C
I am probably just going to used cd's wrapped with rubberbands (superglued on). Theyre light and perfectly round. They just have to be mounted straight and securely onto the axels (easier said then done i know).

Re: Gravity Vehicle C
If you take a look at the Moustrap Vehicle and the Electric Vehicle images you can see what other competitors used for their wheels and (maybe) get some ideas.buzzbuzz wrote:Anybody have a creative idea for wheels? I'm thinking of machining some, but that could be difficult.

Re: Gravity Vehicle C
Thing is with Mousetrap you were playing with the wheel to axle ratio so you wanted small wheels on the powered axle. With Gravity Vehicle I'm thinking you may want bigger wheels because that can handle the transfer from ramp to floor better. That depends on your ramp though. Smaller wheels might however move closer to a curve though. This is something I'm probably going to want to test out.
