That's a rather large ramp for just 35 cm of track ... I'm guessing the vehicle track is how long the vehicle can run on the ramp? And would the maximum weight be for the vehicle itself or the ramp? That's kinda tough for the ramp (okay not really, but it's interesting).

Wish I got my rules already!

I believe "Track Width" refers to how wide the vehicle is, and not how long. Also, the 2.5 is pertaining to the vehicle.

It looks like the rumor originated from Luo (http://www.scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic. ... er#p171386) on July 3rd.

Heh, sorry. I based that prediction upon these two prior posts: http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... 9&#p166959 and http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... 7&#p169517.

I'll take some of the fall for convincing Luo it was scrambler w/o an egg.

For those who have been thinking about ramp design, how are you thinking about constructing it? We were thinking sheet metal with ribs underneath it for support as a preliminary thought.

The issue I have with metal is that unless you have really rubbery wheels, you will have absolutely no grip whatsoever (unless you plan on adding guide rails to keep your vehicle straight)

Oh definitely. That's one reason I don't like it, because I'm afraid the wheels will just slide down the ramp, rather than roll.
