I don't find that a large disadvantage for myself though, because I can remember roughly where certain types of trees are located. If I ever get stuck and can't identify a tree, then I can go by leaf shape or other characteristics.

I think information is the most important in this case. By information I mean extra information such as uses of the tree, facts about its name, etc. Sibley has the most writing space while NWF has little to none. I think Sibley would be better in this case. But in the end, it's the guide that suits you. So if you like NWF, go for it.

Ugh, I hate all of the Audobon Field Guides, but lets hope we are not forced to used it. Last time I used an Audobon field guide was to study meteorology, and it was the most worthless book I've ever used

I have the Audobon guide for Meteorology and it isn't an intense study guide. I personally only use it for everyday weather clouds.

I'm not taking Forestry But I had been studying for it and I really liked Audobon.
