Season 2012 - Site suggestions
The 2011 Season has passed, so it is time to start thinking of the coming year.
Is there something you would like to see done differently?
Maybe different organization?
Improvements to the Image Gallery or Wiki?
Or even new features?
Any other things?
Remember to read last years thread.

Re: Season 2012 - Site suggestions
I love how polished this site is, the administrative staffs have done a great job keeping up with it. The Wiki is top-notch, the organization of the forums is great. But the image gallery and score tracker, in my opinion, could be improved. Each of these have been discussed to great detail, I think on the last site suggestion thread. Even so, I'd like to bring up the comments section on the image gallery. The five most recent comments are three advertisements, one kid calling something "kool" and another kid ranting at DS. I'm fairly certain none of these are registered users on the forum, so I was wondering- could it be possible to limit image gallery comments to registered users?

The best way to combat the spam at the moment is for you to mention that there is spam to one of the staff and it will be removed.zyzzyva98 wrote:I love how polished this site is, the administrative staffs have done a great job keeping up with it. Re: Season 2012 - Site suggestions
You will have to pardon Robot and I if we miss a few things on the Image Gallery as we are both just getting used to our new roles in the site.
That being said, comments were disallowed on the Image Gallery for a while, and I think having the comments adds to the insight gained via the Image Gallery. It may not look very polished...but I think it's a worthy risk for having comments on the image gallery. With that said, the idea of making comments on the image gallery restricted has been bouncing around with the mods recently.

Anything is possible...except for a Cleveland team winning a championship, that's just absurd.

Nope. I've checked. It's completely impossible for Cleveland to find a coach that would be good enough to train one of their teams to win a championship. Mainly because a coach of this caliber does not exist.

The only thing I've really noticed the RSI and Nats forums tend to get filled with a lot of posts that get counted as "useful" and yet are no more useful than some of posting games. Thing is I don't really think there is a way to control that because the threads needed aren't as standard so this mostly ends up me complaining about nothing. I guess we could try some sort of topic approval system...but I feel like that would turn into an inconvenience for everyone involved.
