Re: Wind Power C
WHAT?!?! 4.2 V without the resistor? Wow, that's pretty awesome! Wire it so that one 10 ohm resistor connects the positive and negative leads form the motor, and another resistor is below the first one, also connecting the positive and negative leads. It should look something like an "H" with two things in the middle instead of one.

Re: Wind Power C
Hahah, I'm a guy. But yeah, according to I believe Ohm's Law (or some other equation), two 10 ohm resistors in parallel will result in 5 ohms of resistance. Two 15 ohm resistors in parallel will result in 7.5 ohms of resistance.

Re: Wind Power C
Yes, though the point I was trying to make with the little story is that the building section of this event is more empirical (;Frogger4907 wrote:You want a very minuscule angle on the outside, because it has to spin faster, this will eliminate drag, but a higher pitch on the inside.
And 4.2 is pretty crazy, even if it's a combined voltage.

Re: Wind Power C
haha, i may have read it wrong XD Okay, well, if the voltmeter is set on Volts and the dial is a the number 2 (not 20): http://www.scienceshareware.com/images/ ... tmeter.jpg
Then how much is that??
Also... how much detail/info should i need for my binder? i mean, i have pretty basic summaries for everything, details on how they work...

FOR SURE. My partner and I died during our states test. It was like 8 questions or something, hardest test ever.

Whenever "basic information" is mentioned in the event description, expect it to be more than just "basic information".Frogger4907 wrote:Basic information isn't enough.

Re: Wind Power C
hey guys i was wondering, if you have a turbine that takes a while to start up, would they take the average starting from when the fan is
first turned on? or would they allow the turbine to get going before taking the average?
thanks
