Re: Junkyard Challenge B
Paper tubes are good, but 1 crinkle or wrinkle will destroy that tube. It's not that durable.

Re: Junkyard Challenge B
Our first idea was to have two layers of paper. It is a lot more durable, but takes more time.
So we went down to just one layer, and that still works.

What challenge did you get for States? How long are you able to make your bridge and ramp?strikerbear10 wrote:Our first idea was to have two layers of paper. It is a lot more durable, but takes more time.

We got Ramp at States, and we are able to make both things as long as we can--provided we have enough materials.Cheese_Muffin_Man wrote:What challenge did you get for States? Our box was rather small, so we couldn't fit a lot of paper, etc. to make a very long ramp/bridge.
I'm hoping we should get our Bridge to be 11,000 mm long (that was our challenge at Regionals; the 1st place team got that).

Re: Junkyard Challenge B
Some people have thought of this already. Again, I can't expose the exact details, but it involves 2 very high towers and LOTS of cups. The 2 supports at the end are angled.

The 2 towers are made of cups, and the bottom is angled so that it won't collapse on us.Cheese_Muffin_Man wrote:Then what's in the middle of the towers?fishman100 wrote:Some people have thought of this already.
