Re: Teams going to Nationals
That's correct. 1st tiebreaker is # of golds, 2nd is # of silvers, 3rd is # of bronzes, etc. etc. There is no mechanism for additional teams going to nationals - too many things would get messed up by having 61 instead of 60 teams.old wrote: I think the team with the most gold medals wins if there is a tie, I guess Churchill got more golds then Arden? I believe there is some mechanism for two teams to go to Nats in a case where there is no clear winner, maybe we will see both Arden and Churchill at Nationals (the more the merrier)!

Arden is NOT going, unless they can suceed in arbitration, which is quite difficult.fishman100 wrote:So is Arden going or not??? I'm confuzzled
NoCal can only send one school from each division, so it looks like Churchill's going!
Congratulations, Churchill!

I think disappointed is a little bit of an understatement... I was on the team last year and my brother is now... I think everyone was crying... it also didn't help that they really wanted to go to honor one of their main coaches, Katie Kaufman, who is retiring, by going to Nats. This is the second time in 27 years that South has not gone to Nationals. Good Luck Daniel Wright, Marie Murphy, New Trier, and Stevenson!

Re: Teams going to Nationals
I just noticed on the Colorado SO website that Poudre High School did not win the Colorado state tournament, which I think is surprising since Poudre has won for 9 straight years and got 12th at Nationals last year. Anyway, congrats to Cheyenne Mountain High School! Several notable streaks have been broken this year, it seems.Kokonilly wrote:It seems that there are many upsets this year.
