Re: Season 2011 - Site suggestions
Well if you read this http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=91&t=2268 thread you can learn how to get a thread for an unrepresented Trial Event.
And wiki pages can be created for one without intervention of a mod.

Plus, the lack of information on trial events is largely a result of the lack of participation by users. If only a couple states are doing a trial event, there's a limited number of people with experience in the event.
events 2012 gravity vehicle, robot arm, thermodynamics, tps

How about for state, on the profile thing (to the left when you post) there are separate categories for norcal/socal so we can distinguish which state competition they will be at.

Re: Season 2011 - Site suggestions
That is a good idea, though it will be some trouble to implement, if we do. I can't add new options to the state selection dropdown (except to the bottom of the list) without making everyone who has already selected one show up as the wrong state. We would have to go into the database and shift everyone's state selection by one (if their state is listed after California) and add the second California option. Might happen.mnstrviola wrote:How about for state, on the profile thing (to the left when you post) there are separate categories for norcal/socal so we can distinguish which state competition they will be at.

No because there are too many people who might miss the announcement and/or not log on for a really long time if at all. There are hundred of members, but only a fraction are active.Littleboy wrote:You could have all of us change our own.

Actually, there are thousands of members. And about 100 that ever come on.

Re: Season 2011 - Site suggestions
I think you might be surprised by how many registered members visit.
Since April 11th (1 week ago): 306 members (296 of whom posted)
Since the beginning of April: 536 members
Since the beginning of the year: 1327 members
Since rules manuals shipped for this year: 1747 members
So of the 1747 accounts that have visited the forum since the season started, 306 of them visited within just the last week. That's a pretty significant fraction, especially considering that the season is winding up or over for most people.
