I have recently been introduced to the party game Mafia, and was thinking that it might be interesting to try out as a posting game. Before I start, I would like to say that I am new to posting games and this wiki as a whole, so if I mess up with this, don't judge. Anyway, I was thinking we would play with 7 townsmen and 2 mafia, with one townsperson being a doctor with the ability to save one person each round, and with one townsperson as a policeman, with the ability to inspect one person each round. I know this will be different from normal play, as people can private message each other secretly, but I would like to try it out all the same. The first 9 people to private message me will play, and I will assign their roles after they do so. After 9 people have joined I will post here explaning how we will begin the game. Feel free to message me with any questions.

Mafia is hard to adjust to a forum game, I've thought about the possibilities and the assassination game is really the best option, though I encourage you to come to chat where we occasionally have side games of mafia that are really quite fun.

I just want to let you know, I am well aware that the assasination games are better than this. However, I recently read through the current assasintion game, and it has been going on for months now. My intent in creating this forum was to have a posting game that didnt last forever and was easier therefore to become part of. Also, this is just a test run. If Mafia doesnt work at all on a forum, then it does not have to be continued. It's as simple as that.

You can only have so many posting games going on at once, at the Assassination takes most of the time. This current Assassination game has been going on for quite some time now, yes, but it is rare for it to be this way. Most only last a few weeks. In addition the last Assassination game WAS an adaptation from Mafia to the Assassination games, and it did not go well. Mafia is just not that great a game for the forums...

However if you join chat you may catch us in a game there, which goes very smoothly most of the time
