We had a powerpoint for entomology at regionals 2 years ago, and I forgot to bring my glasses. We still got first, but having to squint at the screen for an hour was a little uncomfortable.

Reach for the Stars was on a powerpoint at both of my invitationals last year. There were only about 6 teams in the room plus around 10 coaches and parents at the back of the room so no one had any trouble seeing the board.

It's still going to favor people with better views of the board, even if everyone can see it.

Plus you may get that person who forgets their glasses or something, and then either they're at a disadvantage or you have to reconfigure the seating.

Just print them out. It's not that hard.

I lean towards test for both. When you try to force stations on an event where they are unneeded it can get messy.

Tests are easier, but some events work better with stations. Fossils, for example,is better with stations of the actual specimen instead of a test. However, you shouldn't do stations that are just chunks of a test, because that is unnecessarily stressful.

I don't like the tests. They take too long, and you are just sitting still the whole time. That said, I have never had a station to work at. This year, I am doing bio-process lab, so I will be able to answer more truthfully after that.
