Olive Sided Flycatcher
Sallies out from top of tall tree or snag to catch flying insect and beats large prey on perch.
Almost threatened because of loss of winter habitat

No, but it's in the flycatcher family, so you're on the right path!
And by social, I was thinking more along the lines of interaction with other birds.

Although this bird can also be a loner - preferring to work alone.

I actually got the last bird from scientist but he doesn't like posting his own birds and he's my brother
