Re: Fossils B/C
Amphicoelias fragillimus is an interesting case. Even though it probably did exist, due to the limited pictures before its destruction, it is a very interesting thing to replicate its full size.

Re: Fossils B/C
Actually, you're probably the only one on here who knows that.
Back to Amphicoelias, there wouldn't have been photos because that technology was in infancy. However, the drawings and measurements, when scaled up to proportion with Diplodocus, shows a very large animal.

Re: Fossils B/C
Assuming you're okay with a used guide, you can get the Simon & Schuster's for $5 here, excluding shipping costs. I believe the lowest price for the Audubon guide is around $8.lllazar wrote:Link plz? Re: Fossils B/C
Fossils is one of the best events in my opinion, and you'll see why soon. There is a list that you will have to base your work off of; you can find it at http://soinc.org/sites/default/files/FossilList11.pdfdino_freak wrote:Hey...I'm new to the Science Olympiad and I was wondering about the whole fossils identification event and what types of fossils they have you identify in the event. Re: Fossils B/C
You certainly don't need to buy a field guild. I got 5th at nats with my handy dandy binder. I hate the field guides, they take forever to find the info you need. It's a waste of money for the event.emd19 wrote:No need to insult people amerikestrel, attempt to be modest, we all know you are financially privileged.amerikestrel wrote:You haven't bought a field guide?
