Re: Exalted Members
Also, if I were to become a wiki mod (extremely unlikely as of now), would there be any way for me to display my status as an exalted member(which I would have been if I were a wiki mod, I assume) instead, or is the highest ranking group the only one that is visible?

Re: Exalted Members
You would still be part of the Exalted member usergroup, but the rank (stars and medals combination) would change to that of the wikimod (stars and no medals). This isn't a technical necessity in terms of how the forum works, any rank can be combined with any usergroup, but rather that you are trading recognition for responsibility.

What do you mean by that last part?Dark Sabre wrote:You would still be part of the Exalted member usergroup, but the rank (stars and medals combination) would change to that of the wikimod (stars and no medals). Re: Exalted Members
The medals and stars mean nothing; they are really just pictures. The wiki mods, admin, etc. are part of usergroups, similar (not but exactly) to the school groups. The mods/admins have complete control over the pictures of the medals and stuff, so you could be a mod/admin and have 3 medals. It just that DS doesn't want you to be a mod with medals, so when you are upgraded to the status of a wiki mod or something, he takes away your medals, but doesn't remove you from the Exalted usergroup.paleonaps95 wrote:What do you mean by that last part?Dark Sabre wrote:You would still be part of the Exalted member usergroup, but the rank (stars and medals combination) would change to that of the wikimod (stars and no medals). Also remember that when you're a mod, you get 5 stars, not 4. Look at starpug, for example.

Re: Exalted Members
I know- I like the medals better. I highly doubt I'll ever be a wiki mod though. I was just curious.
Another question: what do you do to become an admin or a mod? I mean, the other rank ascensions are pretty straightforward, but those- is it like being super-exalted, or applying for a job, or what? Also, is rocketman1555 really a moderator?
I am not asking to be one, I just want to know everything!

Re: Exalted Members
Yes, rocketman is really a mod. As far as I know (forgive me if I'm wrong) you have to be picked by DS or gh or someone else. It seems to me to be people that have already graduated and are really into the website, even after you graduate. The people who become mods also seem to be really big and useful contributors.paleonaps95 wrote: Another question: what do you do to become an admin or a mod?
