we just had a common name, because the primary purpose was flashcards, but yes, if we could find them, we included various pics

amerikestral, I added the rest of Anseriformes to the wiki, but uploading pics takes forever
Sounds good. I'll try to do the Galliformes and Gaviiformes this weekend, if no one else has yet.

Yeah, I can't remember what station we saw it at, but the people behind us asked if it was ours. I saw it later on the floor, getting trampled by people leaving. :?

kjhsscioly, thanks for putting those pictures in. I tweaked the formatting a bit before it gets longer. courage7856, I might get to the galliformes/gaviiformes today or tomorrow but you could just do whatever is next on the list.

Sure. I just don't have time during the week; it's band concert time for me.

my partner made a chart of calls for each bird, by writing out a rythmic beat or tone in words, and it is pretty good. I might put it under comments

Don't you think that that would be more appropriate in the 'bird calls' chart on the main ornithology page? Thanks for offering to put it up though, I'm sure it would be helpful to many people. :)

I've been working on the Wiki. I did the Galliformes, Pellicaniformes, Ciconiiformes, and Falconiformes.

thing is, though, i think it'd be better if people made their own descriptions - what i think sounded like something to me, someone else never would have described that way. mine are kind of funny sounding anyway

is "Sibley's guide to bird life and behavior" considered a field guide valid for competition?
